Betafence selected as “Ambassador of West Flanders”
The Province of West Flanders and the ‘West Flanders Development Agency’ (POM) awarded certain companies in West Flanders, among which Betafence, with the title “Ambassador of West Flanders”. This award is the result of a thorough screening and review on diverse criteria such as continuous focus on innovation, improvement and Sustainable Entrepreneurship. These companies put West Flanders on the map as a dynamic region because of their exemplary position and their image to the outside world.
Betafence collaborates already since last year with the ‘West Flanders Development Agency’ (POM) around Sustainable Entrepreneurship. In 2009 Betafence signed the ‘West-Flemish Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship’. This means that Betafence makes continuous efforts on improving its activities on an environmental, social and economic level. The performances are evaluated at an annual basis by a panel of independent experts.
